About us News and Information:
The Yuma Model Railroaders are an active group in Southwest Arizona. Our interests range from full-size railroads to model railroads of all scales. We welcome new members; whether you are a full time resident or winter visitor.
Currently we have an operating HO scale modular layout that is displayed at the Yuma County Fair week and several other events throughout the year. See our "Coming Events" page for future dates.
All members of the modular group are NMRA members and the YMRR Modular Club Division is a 100% NMRA Club. We are also an Ambassador group for the World's Greatest Hobby.
We have been granted non-profit status through the State of Arizona and are now working on our application for Federal non-profit status.
Union Pacific Steam locomotive arrives in Yuma for Arizona Centennial Special!! Will be on display on Wednesday Nov 16 from 9 Am to 5 PM, free and open to the public.600 block South Gila Street, just south of Giss Parkway in Yuma.

News of the YMRR at the NMRA Arizona Division Meet March 2011.
Jim Currie's scratchbuilt house took 2nd place in the scratchbuilt division.

Tim Gilliland took first place in the scratchbuilt division with his HO Scale redition of the Winterhaven Agricultural inspection station.

Tim also took second in the kit division with his O scale Shell Station
Bob Sherwood took third place for his Carcross Canada Depot.
Lee Stoermer took first place in the kit built division with his 1940's Texaco Gas Station.

NOVEMBER 2010___The YMRR be co-sponsoring with Union Pacific Railroad, a coloring contest for elementary age kids for railroad safety. Bring in your printed and colored page to the YMRR Modular layout display at the Southgate Mall and enter for a chance to win a model train set!! Pictures to cut out and color will be available in the Yuma Sun newspaper and by emailing the YMRR from out contacts page.

9 members of the YMRR went to the Arizona Division of the NMRA meet held on March 6th in Phoenix. Three members entered models into the contest. YMRR members Tim G., Jim C. and Lee S. entered models in the contest, a total of 5 different structures. All three came away with awards from different categories! Tim took two first place awaards, with his one of them earning another NMRA merit award. Jim took a second place and a third and Lee came away with a second place award. We'll be posting pictures later on of each of the entries. Congratulations to all!
